One painting, Selfie at Six Below, was selected as an International Finalist for the online January 2024 Grey Cube Gallery -Portrait Show at: https://www.greycubegallery.com/current-show/index.html#lg=1&slide=2 There were 98 pieces selected with 15 countries represented in the online exhibit.
Two paintings, Cape d’Or - Bay of Fundy, and Venetian Canal were selected and are now showing at the “Realize your Dreams” exhibit at the Buttonwood Art Space, 3013 Main St., Kansas City, MO. The exhibit runs from January 2, 2024 through March 20, 2024.
One painting, Cathedral Rock - View 1B, was selected and shown at the National Watercolor Exhibition sponsored by the Mark Arts Center, beginning October 6, 2023, and running through December 16, 2023. The exhibit is located at the Mark Arts Center, 1307 N. Rock Road, Wichita, Kansas, 67206.
One painting, Saffordville Relic, was selected and shown at the Visions of the Flint Hills art exhibit at the Buttonwood Art Space, 3013 Main St., Kansas City, MO. The exhibit was from September 9th through December 13, 2023.
Two paintings, Cape d’Or - Bay of Fundy, and Venetian Canal were selected and shown at the State of the Arts 2023 juried art exhibit at Prairie Village City Hall, 7700 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS, from September 9th to November 2nd, 2023.
Ten paintings were exhibited at a two-person exhibit at the new Roaring 20 Gallery at 4142 Main St., Kansas City, MO 64111 from August 1, 2023, to November 1, 2023.
AWARD WINNERS: Honorable Mentions were awarded to four paintings at the Grey Cube Gallery 2024 International Online “Waters” Art Show at greycubegallery.com. The four paintings selected were: Venetian Canal, Cape d’Or - Bay of Fundy, On the Rocks at Monhegan, Down the ‘Great Unknown,’ and Reflections at Fisherman’s Wharf.
Two watercolor paintings, “On the Rocks at Monhegan,” and "“A Medieval Village,” have been selected for the Buttonwood Art Space “Serenity” exhibit beginning July 3, 2023, and ending September 20, 2023 at 3013 Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri, 64108.
The watercolor painting, “Athabasca Glacier,” was selected and shown at the Buttonwood Art Space “From the Earth” exhibit in the spring of 2023.
Two watercolor paintings, “Down the Great Unknown,” and “Reflections at Fisherman's Wharf,” were selected and shown at the Buttonwood Art Space.
The watercolor painting, “KC Crossroads” was selected and exhibited at the Buttonwood Art Space “Kansas City” exhibit at 3013 Main St., Kansas City, Missouri, 64108.
Mr. Larson has a one-person show of 34 of his watercolors at St. Michael’s and All Angel’s Episcopal Church, 6630 Nall Ave., Mission, KS from April 5 to June 15, 2022.
Mr. Larson exhibited a one-person show of 33 paintings at Second Presbyterian Church, 318 E 55th St., Kansas City, MO, from February 14 to April 5, 2022.
The 2018 watercolor abstract “Formwork” was selected by the Buttonwood Art Space for the 2022 show “The heART of it All.” The exhibit dates were January 3, 2022, through March 24, 2022, at 3013 Main St., Kansas City Missouri 64108.
AWARD WINNER!: The 2021 watercolor “Reflections at Fisherman’s Wharf” received an HONORABLE MENTION award from the international website ArtRoomGallery.com for the November 2021 “Waters” Art Exhibition.
Mr. Larson’s watercolor, “Down the ‘Great Unknown’” was selected by Stephen Zhang, internationally known watercolor artist, for the National Watercolor Exhibition sponsored by the Mark Arts Center, beginning December 10, 2021, and running through January 29, 2022. The exhibit is located at the Mark Arts Center, 1307 N. Rock Road, Wichita, Kansas, 67206.
Three watercolor paintings (The Old ‘46, The Cloister, and Winter in Loose Park) were selected by the Kansas City Stockyards Gallery for the “Holiday Small Works Show,” from November 19th, 2021 through January 14th, 2022. The Kansas City Stockyards Gallery is located at 1600 Genessee St., Suite 161, Kansas City, MO. Hours are 1-5 pm Thursdays and Fridays, or by appointment.
The online Grey Cube Gallery (GreyCubeGallery.com) selected “Morning at Moraine Lake,” and “Ellingson Island” for the November 2021 international online exhibit “Forests.” Mr. Larson’s two watercolors were finalists among the 89 pieces of art selected for the exhibit.
“ART ON OAK” Mr. Larson was selected to exhibit with 30 artists at Second Presbyterian Church, 318 E 55th St., Kansas City, MO. Five original paintings were on display, along with numerous prints available for sale. The exhibit was October 14th and 15th, 2021.sas City, MO.

AWARD WINNER! One watercolor painting, “Amelia Earhart Childhood Home,” was selected as the THIRD PLACE winner by popular vote during the First Friday open house at the “Home” exhibit at the Buttonwood art Space. The exhibit runs thru September 23, 2021, There were approximately 150 works of art at the exhibit.
Sixteen original paintings were shown in the Exhibit, “Perception of Place,” which was a three-artist exhibit during the month of May 2021, at the Merriam Community Center, 6040 Foster, Merriam, Kansas 66202.
The watercolor painting, “Down the ‘Great Unknown’” was selected for the 25th annual Heartland Artist Exhibit, March 6 thru 27, at the Merriam Community Center, 6040 Foster, Merriam, Kansas 66202. This national exhibit included 80 pieces of art from 54 artists, but only 13 watercolor paintings were selected, including “Down the Great Unknown.”
One watercolor painting, “Ellingson Island” was selected and shown at the “Nature’s Bounty” exhibit at the Buttonwood Art Space.
One watercolor painting, “Flint Hills Solitude” was selected and shown at the Flint Hills exhibit at the Buttonwood art Space.
The watecolor painting “The Old ‘46” was selected by the City of Merriam to be included with fifty other artists’ work for the “Wall of Fame” at the new Merriam Community Center, 6040 Foster, Merriam, Kansas 66202. The exhibit Begins August 1st, 2020.
Two watercolor paintings, “Sailing on Lac d’Annecy” and “Curtis Island Lighthouse,” were selected for the “Connections” exhibition at the Buttonwood Art Space. The exhibition began online July 3, 2020, www.buttonwoodartspace.com.
AWARD WINNER! “Cathedral Rock - view 1B” was selected SECOND PLACE in the 2020 international watercolor exhibition on the international online J. Mane Gallery.
Two original watercolors (Cathedral Rock and Monhegan Lighthouse) were selected and shown at the prestigious 24th Annual Heartland Artist Exhibit, March 7 thru 14, 2020, at the Irene B. French Community Center, 5701 Merriam Drive, Merriam, Kansas 66203.
Twelve original watercolors were displayed at the Blue Valley Recreation Activity Center at 6545 W. 151st St., from October 4, 2019 to November 14, 2019.

AWARD WINNER! “The Cloister” was selected FIRST PLACE at the “Beautiful Light” exhibit (July/August/September 2019) at the Buttonwood Art Space, 3013 Main St., Kansas City Missouri 64108, . This is a prestigious award due to the number of artists that submit original artwork. This specific exhibit has 157 selected pieces.

“Sunrise in Kansas City” was selected and shown in the “Kansas City” exhibit at the Buttonwood Art Space in Kansas City from May 3 thru June 27, 2019. This exhibit included 160 works of art by 77 artists.

Mr. Larson’s exhibit “Vistas of the World,” included 24 prints and originals which were displayed in March and April, 2019, at St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church in Spencer Hall, 6630 Nall Ave., Mission, Kansas.
