watercolors to enjoy
I have a dear friend that lives in the countryside on the outskirts of Atlanta. His property is densely wooded and has a running creek. In different fields and clearings there are barns and sheds for all sorts of utilitarian purposes. This one caught my eye. It had all the subject matter that I like for a painting: beautiful landscape, forgotten structures and man-made items, interesting shadows - it has it all. I look at the truck and wonder what it has experienced and how long has it been under the shed roof. The stored lumber next to the truck adds to the texture and interest of this Americana view.
